Shipshewana Getaway

We had a lovely mini-getaway to Shipshewana, Indiana. Shipshewana is located right in the heart of Amish Country. You know you have arrived in Amish Country when about 15 miles out from Shipshewana, you start to see a horse and buggy coming and going in each direction.

We stayed with Matt's parents and his brother, JJ, and his beautiful wife, Jennie at a cozy little Bed & Breakfast.

We ate at the famous Essenhaus and enjoyed some delicious Amish home-cooking.




The warm summer evening was perfect for taking in the scenery.

In my opinion, the "breakfast" part of B & B's is the best.

After breakfast, we went shopping at the Shipshewana Flea Market.

One can find almost anything and everything.

Of course we had to stop in the meat and cheese shop...

few more months before I can wear it!

It was a very short, yet very sweet little family vacation!
