A Lovely Day

Yesterday, Matt and I drove north to a park we've discovered in the countryside, Wolcott Mill state park. It is so named for the historic mill and other buildings on the property, and it has several of miles of trails running through lovely woods and along streams and rivers.

Matt's days off from work are Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so when we visit the park during the middle of the week, it's nearly deserted. This is the absolute perfect place for us to take Annabelle. We can let her off her leash and let her run. She loves this---running to and fro, dashing through the woods, bounding through tall grasses, and chasing squirrels. She was having all sorts of adventures!

The weather yesterday was sunny and around 70 degrees; absolutely ideal. Our hike was so peaceful and enjoyable, especially in getting to observe the colors of fall creeping into the woods.

We can't wait to go back!

So tired but so happy.
